Unit includes: 1 injection molded UV transparent base cover 7x7cm casting tray with embossed gel ruler rubber end caps six tooth comb experimental kit - introduction to electrophoresis en-ca. Each casting tray with embossed gel ruler has rubber end caps and multiple slots for easy versatile comb placement. This economical 2-part exercise provides an introduction to Agra's gel electrophoresis. The exercise was designed for 8 groups of students and includes four colorful dye mixtures DNA.

It allows six 7x7cm gel trays to run simultaneously on one apparatus. In the first part of exercise, students identify unknown dye molecules by comparing their migration with known dyes. In the second part students identify dye molecules that bind to DNA and determine mechanism. The injection-molded UV transparent chamber is made from thick acrylic, making it durable and leak-proof while lid fits securely in place can easily be removed.
