The unit was powered up and tested. I'm no expert with these high end scales but the dollar bill was weighed about 10 times and came up. Also, while this is plugged in, there seems to be a faint noise coming out.

Up for offer is a Sartorius basic lab scale like a tiny laser disc or something. Here's your chance to get a lab quality scale at a fraction of the price a new one would cost.

It had consistent readings and performed as I expected. A few things that caught my attention were that the scale sat at zero consistently, unless you were moving or causing vibrations around it I don't know if these characteristics are normal, but I just thought they should be mentioned in case they are important to you. Then the zero reading moved around until you were still.
