It powers up, and the initial display, when all possible led's and symbols are lit up, it is bright and clear, but once the initial display goes away, the display gets very dim. It is still readable, more so at some angles than others, but it is still very dim.

This is the extent of my testing of this balance, and it is being sold as is. Approximate overall unpacked dimensions 14 l x 9 w x 13.

It comes with a 200g calibration Weight, which is stored in a compartment in the back.
